Chartered Surveyors Training Trust

About Us

The Trust was established in 1984 by the Worshipful Company of Chartered Surveyors, with the aim of supporting individuals who due to financial, social or academic reasons would not usually have the chance to consider a career in surveying.

The Trust became an independent charity in 1987 but still retains strong links with its founding body.

The organisation is managed by a board of directors, all of whom are senior figures within the construction and property industries. The day to day running is overseen by the Trust’s Chairman with support from staff members.

As a registered charity, the Trust is subject to charitable law and must be able to demonstrate to the Charity Commission and the public that it is properly managed. The programme is jointly funded by the Learning and Skills Council and the Trust’s employer partnerships.
