Cheryl Kirsh BA(Hons) MCIPD

Cheryl graduated with a BA (Hons) degree in Business Studies in 2001 from the University of West of England, Bristol.  During her degree, she undertook a placement year in an HR department within Haden Building Management (part of the Balfour Beatty Group) and was offered a graduate role upon completing her degree.  She also went on to study a part-time Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resource Management in 2002.

Following a succession of HR roles in Bristol, Swindon and London, Cheryl decided to leave Haden in 2004 for a stand-alone HR Manager role in a steel trading firm based in Mayfair, London.  

In 2005, Cheryl returned to the Balfour Beatty Group as Regional HR Manager for Mansell Construction Services Ltd, based in City Road, London.  In this role, she is responsible for providing strategic HR advice and guidance to two of the largest divisions within Mansell, employing in excess of 500 employees, across eight diverse business units.  Cheryl’s team consists of three HR Advisers, an Employee Communications Officer and two Training Administrators. 

Across the London and South East divisions, they have consistently recruited the highest number of Trainee Quantity Surveyors across the company.  Since 2007, they appointed 22 Trainee Surveyors onto their five year training programme.  Due to the success of the scheme, they have recently been looking at ways in which they can improve diversity and provide opportunities to under represented groups such as ethnic minorities and females.  Mansell Construction Services Ltd believe the CSTT offers an excellent way to provide access to these groups and helps them to achieve a wider, more diverse workforce for the future.

Cheryl lives in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire with her fiancé and is currently in the throes of organising their wedding in April this year!
