Meet the team


The Trust is managed by a board of directors, all of whom hold senior positions within the property & construction profession. Day to day responsibility lies with the Trust Manager, assisted by four full time staff members and eighteen part time educational assessors

 

Amy Leaning, Trust Manager

Amy is a graduate of Social Policy from LSE.   Upon graduating she worked as a Policy Officer at the Women and Equality Unit in the Cabinet Office. Moving to the charity Training for Life she had a variety of roles including Development and working with the long term unemployed. Amy has a range of voluntary experience working with various homeless agencies and fundraising organisations. 

  • Overall responsibility for managing the Trust and its staff and for monitoring and evaluating the work of the Trust.

Jane Rutherford, Marketing Manager

A Geography & Business Management graduate of St Andrews University, Jane has five years consumer and business to business marketing experience, working for Visit Scotland, Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland & the Charles Letts Filofax group.

  • Jane is primarily concerned with the marketing strategy, managing profile building activities and the recruitment of young people and employers onto the programme.

Jo Turner, Education Officer

Jo studied French & Russian at Nottingham University. She has a range of commercial & training acumen working for both private and not for profit organisations. Prior to joining the Trust, she was a Learning Support Assistant working with young people within a school environment and is well versed in support, mentoring and guidance issues.

  • Jo provides educational, practical and pastoral support to Trust trainees

Anna Ferguson, Education Officer

Anna is a graduate of Psychology from the Manchester Metropolitan University.   Prior to joining the Trust, she worked for East London & the City Mental Health Trust, providing assessment and rehabilitation services to clients.  Anna has also worked for MIND and other charitable organisations and has also spent time in America working as a ‘camp counsellor’ at a children’s summer camp.

  • Anna provides educational, practical and pastoral support to Trust trainees.

Simon Magnus, Marketing Assistant

A graduate of Rose Bruford College of Speech & Drama, Simon has strong experience of working with young people, managing educational workshops for schools and charities and managing promotional campaigns

  • Simon provides marketing support for various career initiatives and manages Trust events.
