CSTT 2007 APPRENTICESHIP AWARDS
On Thursday the 18th October, surveying industry leaders, employers and proud parents alike gathered to congratulate the 2007 CSTT trainees on achieving their Advanced Apprenticeship in Surveying.
The annual Awards were held at the RICS headquarters at Great George Street, London and were attended by surveying firms including GVA Grimley, Gardiner & Theobald, Mellersh & Harding, Jones Lang La Salle and Drivers Jonas. They joined us in celebrate the achievements of Zane Antoine, Matthew Bastable, Khalifa Forte, Jay Hodges, Ashley Hurd, Billy Howard, Michael Kyriacou, Josh McEvoy and William Sparrowhawk.
The ceremony was led by CSTT Chairman, Roger Southam and included speeches from RICS President, David Tuffin, and Master of the Livery Company, David Larkin, who gave a moving talk about the importance of education to the surveying industry.
The CSTT Apprenticeship Awards were kindly sponsored by the RICS, the Worshipful Committee of Chartered Surveyors, and the leading industry publication, Property Week.

CSTT SHORT LISTED FOR 2007 QS AWARDS
CSTT is delighted to announce that it has been short listed for the Best Training Initiative award in the QS Awards 2007.
The Awards, now in their third year, are run by Building magazine, and showcase excellence, innovation and professionalism in the quantity surveying profession.
CSTT won the Best Training Initiative Award in 2005, and is hoping to repeat the success this year. The Award recognises best practice in training and continuing professional development, and is open to educational organisations and private surveying firms alike.
Winners will be announced in front of 400 senior industry figureheads, on Friday the 7th December 2007, at Vinopolis in London.

ADVANCED SURVEYING APPRENTICESHIP
Asset Skills (Sector Skills Council for Property) in partnership with the Chartered Surveyors Training Trust (CSTT) has recently secured funding from SEEDA to develop and deliver an apprenticeship programme enabling young people to train to be technical surveyors. Read more

DOUBLE AWARD SUCCESS
The Chartered Surveyors Training Trust has scooped up two awards at the London Construction Awards 2006, winning not only the Support for Diversity category but also Apprentice of the Year with Yugoslavian, Ilirjan Hoti. Read more
